Cities are filled with polluted air, and it doesn’t come as a surprise that people are starting to run to the countryside in the search for a better place to live. Farming becomes their primary hobby, and they can feel proud once they successfully cultivate crops or breed animals. Although agriculture is very enjoyable, it is far from easy, and that is what the Farm Manager 2018 will prove. Are you up for the challenge of becoming the best farmer in the neighborhood?
It All Starts with Wheat
In FM 2018, you will be running your own farm. That includes a lot of options, but everything starts with the crops. Wheat should probably be your starting choice, but once you think you know a thing or two, you can move to other types of crops. In fact, there are over 20 crop types to choose from, but don’t forget to prepare the land before you plant them.
You have to nurture them throughout the entire growing process. You can use both your hands and the agricultural machinery that you can buy on the market. The machines that you can purchase can be new or used. As you could assume, the latter ones are prone to breaking down. You should also take care of your employees. If you hire an inexperienced worker, there is a good chance he will break down the machine after a couple of days, so you need to be careful.
Farm Manager 2018 has three modes. Scenarios and campaign are there to provide a challenge, while the sandbox mode is there if you want to enjoy farming without burdening yourself with specific objectives.
Have you ever seen a farm in real life? If the answer is yes, then you know that the owners are not just cultivating plants, but also breeding animals. Turkeys, rabbits, chickens, cows, and even bees require proper care, and you might even need to call the vet if they get sick. If you want to expand your animal community, the inseminator is the one to call.
You can choose to get milk or eggs from animals or start meat production. That will require you to construct one of over 40 buildings you have at your disposal in Farm Manager 2018. Do you want to produce butter, cheese, or frozen food? Perhaps you would instead make juice from the apples you are cultivating? The choice is up to you.
The entire system is not complex, which is a plus since it is appealing to newbies and those who don’t have any farm experience (like me). The visuals are attractive, and you can choose from several cameras to get the best look at your estate. There are a couple of glitches here and there, but the developers are working diligently on providing patches that repair bugs.
